Dindi (turtle): http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=258737
Dimli was a strange dwarf from birth. Even as a babe he loved outdoors nature and disliked caves and mines. His family, wealthy mine owning nobles, were not pleased with Dimli’s disposition. Traditionally everyone in the (fairly large) family worked in the mines. One day, Dimli found a small lost turtle in the caves and nursed it back to health. Some particularly nasty family members decided they wanted to cook the turtle. Dimli, still technically a child, ran away with the turtle into the woods he stared at from the mine’s entrance for so long. There in those wood, Gaia spoke to him. Listening to the deity’s whispers, Dimli slowly learned the ways of a druid. He eventually became a part of a small druid circle where he found acceptance. Dimli heard that the empire lays claim of the forest, and in his still somewhat young mind he feels a duty to help the empire that gave him a home to be happy. So he decided to help when a call for help was sent.
